The History of Google, the impregnable search engine

Undoubtedly, Google is the most used and well-known search engine on the Internet worldwide; it is said that 8 out of 10 people use their services, which is easy to see considering that, on a daily basis, there are an estimated processing of more than 1 billion search requests. After the monumental technology company, based in the United States, we must necessarily talk about its creators Larry Page and Sergei Brin, and the beautiful history of Google which is an example of success and perseverance. 

History of the Emergence of Google 

From the marriage of two university professors: a Programming professor mother and a Computing and Artificial Intelligence father, Larry Page was born in East Lansing, Michigan. Literally, Page, with a torrent of scientific blood in his veins, from a very young age showed an inclination for technology and its different branches; he graduates from college and to broaden his knowledge he decides to pursue a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Stanford.

Sergei Brin, born in the Soviet Union, emigrated with his parents to the United States at an early age. His son's interest is encouraged by his father, a math teacher, who later decides to study Mathematical and Computer Science at university. Both Brin and Page were destined to follow their family footprints, and not only that, both would converge from different cities to study at Stanford for a doctorate in Computer Science.

He begins his doctorate and when they meet, an instantaneous chemistry flows between the young people, like soul mates of the intellect; They share a room and become research partners learning about the mathematical properties of the Internet. The idea of creating a powerful search engine arose through a research project that they had to do entitled “The anatomy of a large-scale web search engine”; project that implied the development of said engine with the ability to track the entire web.

This is how BackRub was born; its technology would be that of a small Google capable of classifying sites by relevance and also showing the number of pages of the domain. The system was based on links or links that allowed ordering and dismembering websites according to their importance.

On November 15, 1997 they registered the domain of google.com and they installed the servers at Stanford University itself. From that very moment, Page and Brin turned all their efforts to the growth of the company by putting aside the studies to be completely focused on the project.

The company Google Inc. was founded in September 1998, who from the beginning was a complete success; offer the portal Excite the opportunity to buy it for the sum of one million dollars, but Excite rejected the proposal due to the CEO did not feel confident about the investment; they could not suspect that years later they would regret not having made the decision.

Google became so famous that it caught the attention of Yahoo!, the most widely used search engine until then, and led to the start of using the services of Google on its portal.

In a very short time, the site reached one billion categorized addresses, the service began to be extended to the Japanese, Chinese and Korean markets; Despite the scope achieved, China hastily blocked the system by not accessing the service. 

Later, Google used its funds to provide services other than the search; Also, the company acquired the discussion service Usenet, which it later named Google Groups, which provided a space for online discussions.

Orkut Büyükkökten, who works for Google, was in charge of developing a social network to discuss forums, share photos and messages. Without stopping, the queen of technologies continued to make investments, this time in email services; Thus, the well-known Gmail becomes a forceful rival for other email clients such as Hotmail, Outlook, among others from the same branch. It also creates a range of new tools, including: Google Earth, Google Talk, Google Reader and Google Analytics.

In 2006, Google bought YouTube for a price of 1.65 million dollars, when the platform was still very young, since it had only been founded for a year; but without a doubt, the directors of Google were long-sighted men in the world of business and technology.

Currently, the company owns other technologies such as the Android operating system, present on mobiles and tablets; the browser Chrome and Google Drive; in addition to Google Maps, Waze and other applications hosted on Google Play.

With an orderly and recognized work, Google does not stop growing and offer the world incredible possibilities of obtaining timely and extensive information by accessing the internet; its numerous tools, many of them useful for creating websites, enrich the user experience and with it, the preference for continuous googled.
